Tim Dufour

President & CEO and RackForce Co-founder


Mr. Dufour is a co-founder of RackForce and sits on the Board of Directors. He is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company, overall technology direction and decisions, and provides executive oversight of all key aspects of RackForce operations.

Mr. Dufour has more than 30 years of progressive industry experience in Advanced Telecommunications and Computer Network Services. He began his career in Regina, Saskatchewan with SaskTel then relocated to Kelowna British Columbia in 1992 to start his own telephone interconnect company, SelecTel. In 1994, he oversaw the merger of SelecTel with Okanagan Telephone Company and became the Managing Director responsible for building the newly merged company's revenues by more than 500 per cent over a four year period.

In 2000 he co-founded and became the Vice President and COO of IPWorld Networks, an Internet Service Provider. In 2001, Mr. Dufour established and co-founded RackForce.

Mr. Dufour is pro-active in local broadband community development projects and sits as an advisory committee member for Data and Telecommunications course at Okanagan College. Recognized by industry experts for his technical and marketing expertise, he was recently selected by IBM as the only person from British Columbia to sit on the IBM Global Mid-Market Advisory Committee. He is also among the select few Canadian members of Microsoft's Data Center Automation Advisory Council.


Brian Fry

Mr. Fry is part of the RackForce Board of Directors and is responsible for RackForce's marketing.

Mr. Fry is an entrepreneur with more than 25 years of executive management experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry.

Mr. Fry launched his first technology company in 1985, while attending BCIT, selling personal computers to fellow students. He worked in California as Director of Sales for MindWorks then returned to British Columbia in 1997 to become a Partner and Vice President with WK-PowerLink. During his time with WK-PowerLink, Mr. Fry was instrumental in growing the company to become of the largest Internet Service Providers in the Interior of British Columbia before it was sold to Internet Direct.

In 2001 he co-founded RackForce and as Vice President he has been responsible for securing marketing and sales partnerships with some of the industry's largest companies including IBM, Cisco and Microsoft.

He has sat as Chair of the Information Technology Association of Canada - ITAC BC Chapter, was a board member of ITAC Canada, and a founding executive board member of the BC Technology Industries Association (BC TIA). He currently participates in the management group for the Greenstar Network project which is funded by CANARIE to create technology and standards for reducing the carbon footprint of ICT. www.greenstarnetwork.com


Jerry Caul

Jerry Caul

Vice President, Energy & Infrastructure


Mr. Caul is responsible for implementing and supporting all facility infrastructure systems at RackForce's data centers. Mr. Caul is a member of the RackForce Board of Directors.

Mr. Caul brings in excess of 35 years of operational & 'hands-on' business experience as a Senior Officer. His wide range of experience has placed him in leading roles with privately held companies as well as NASDAQ listed corporations in the energy, environmental & electrical industries.

Throughout the years, Mr. Caul has been involved in all aspects of management including finance. For 20 plus years of this, he founded and operated a well-regarded electrical & mechanical firm based in Vancouver that designed and installed electrical, mechanical, and energy management systems throughout the West. Mr. Caul was responsible for the entire operation from project procurement to ensuring the projects were completed in a timely and cost effective manner without missing bi-weekly payroll.

Mr. Caul has been a Senior Officer and Director of an environmental solutions company listed on the NASDAQ where he was responsible for establishing and managing the team of professionals who built and operated the national and international waste conversion facilities. The company employed their patented auto-thermal aerobic fermentation process to convert organic waste into high value feed supplements. The company was eventually sold.

In the 1990's, Mr. Caul assumed the Presidency of Interior Mill Equipment Ltd., a company that manufactured and installed material handling systems. Subsequently, Mr. Caul became the Vice President of Projects and Director of the parent company, Altek Power Corporation, a public independent power company based in Kelowna, BC. His tasks included the management and preparation of studies and proposals to install, own and operate the district heating system for the entire City of Whitehorse, Yukon using domestic and international engineers, suppliers, and contractors. He then assumed the role of C.O.O. where he was responsible for the entire staff and all phases of project development ranging from environmental compliance, permitting issues, equipment and fuel procurement, energy interconnection approvals and systems operations.


Rick Ellery

Vice President, Sales and Business Development


Mr. Ellery is responsible for managing RackForce's sales team and partner channels.

Mr. Ellery joined RackForce in March, 2010 after a 31 year career at IBM Canada, 20 years in Toronto and 11 years in Vancouver. He held various delivery, sales and management positions in IBM Global Services, working with clients in an expanse of industries and market segments, from SMB to Fortune 500 enterprises. Mr. Ellery has extensive experience in data center design-build; data center management and operations; service delivery on computing platforms ranging from Intel-based, UNIX/AIX/Linux, System I and mainframe; and development and implementation of complex infrastructure solutions. In several roles he was responsible for service offering strategies, service offering development, routes-to-market strategies and programs, and sales and marketing programs.


Frank Estergard

Chief Financial Officer


Mr. Estergard is responsible for the planning and oversight of all aspects of RackForce's financials.


Randall Robinson

Chief Information Officer


Mr. Robinson is responsible for management of information systems, reporting, content and business process management. In addition to these responsibilities Mr. Robinson has been designated as the Corporate Security Officer.

Mr. Robinson came to RackForce in 2003 from his role as Creative Director with Global Multimedia Inc. where he worked with national and international clientele in the development of their internal and external communications strategies and systems. He has a degree in Fine Art from the renowned Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design with a major in Film/Video production. He is an award winning musician and film maker and has leveraged his creative prowess in past as an instructor of Multimedia and Web Technologies as well as Program Coordinator with Shaw Cable Systems television studios.

Mr. Robinson also has a strong foundation in discipline and process which he gained early on with the Canadian Armed Forces where he served as a Weapons Tech Air. This early career path placed Randall in extreme fast paced and high-pressure operations - working directly with live weapons and military aircraft, under strict flight-line procedures.

Mr. Robinson's skills in media and systems design combined with operational innovation quickly became apparent and he was put in charge of systems development for RackForce. The majority of RackForce's Web pages, portals and internal systems and accompanying processes were developed and implemented under his expert guidance. Randall was promoted to General Manager in late 2005 and immediately began focusing and guiding staff and operations towards the realization of the executive's vision. With continued innovation and successes, Randall was viewed as a solid compliment to the executive team and was appointed to his current role as CIO in 2009.

Mr. Robinson is currently a director on the board of The Canadian Earth Care Society and the Okanagan Wildlife Recovery Center, and a past employee of Greenpeace Canada. As such, Randall brings a broad perspective to the corporate Green strategy and is a key member of the Greenstar Networks' Carbon Assessment Group.
